Choir in residence of Jyväskylä University of applied sciences (Jamk)
Most of the approximately 30 singers in the choir study at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences or the University of Jyväskylä. Cantinovum is known for performing music specifically composed for it, and the choir has premiered numerous choral works and made first recordings. Cantinovum has also undertaken several concert tours abroad and participated successfully in both domestic and international choral competitions. The choir is conducted by Rita Varonen, a lecturer in choral conducting at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences.
Choir is looking for new singers!
Currently we are looking for Bass-singers, but others are welcome as well. You don’t have to be a student at JAMK, but students will earn ECT-credits!
